Yes, that is my most prized memory of being overseas- the falling of the Berlin Wall. I remember my dad telling me that we were not allowed (as US citizens) to take a sledge hammer to the wall and assist with the dismantling of the wall. He also said that while he was checking in at Checkpoint Charlie that in the trunk was a hammer and chisel and that I should take a long walk to look at the history that was being lived at that point in time. Needless to say, there was plenty of history that was riding in the trunk that day when I was done.
